Sun and Snow-Loving Woven Outdoor Furniture

November 16, 2012 by

Gaga & Design’s woven furniture range includes some bright hues.

Launched in September at Tent London’s Super Design Gallery, the woven COD chair by Israeli designer Rami Tareef for Gaga & Design was one of my favorite pieces there.

Made for outdoor use, though perfectly suited for interiors as well, it’s constructed of a sophisticated woven closed loop epoxy sleeve over a chrome and steel rod frame. The COD (Craft Oriented Design) collection was developed and inspired by Tareef’s passion for preserving traditional crafts.

Colorful Woven Collection
Gaga & Design’s COD chair and easy chair are new pieces to their already impressive collection of woven chairs. All furniture in the woven collection is made from the same durable synthetic material and chrome steel.

Happy indoors too…

The furniture travels well between the dining room and the garden…

Snow Bunny and Sun Worshipping Furniture
Bring it inside or leave it outdoors–Gaga’s woven material will even tolerate prolonged exposure to sun, sleet and snow–great news for urban dwellers who don’t have another place to store their outdoor furntiure in winter months.

My weeklong visit to London for the London Design Festival with the Modenus BlogTour exposed me to a myriad of talented emerging designers and brands, many of which I will be showcasing for months to come.  So you don’t miss a single one, consider getting Urban Gardens delivered fresh in your inbox!

Thanks Igor! I too love the COD chair, did you get a chance to see it when we were in London? It looks even better in person–it’s really comfortable.
