New Twist on Home Hydroponic Gardening
January 23, 2013 by Robin Plaskoff Horton
Honey, I’m home. Is the lettuce ready? This planter is a great concept for producing food in tight urban spaces with minimal effort.
Milan designer Stefania Minnella’s vertical self-sustaining hydroponic system, Elica Idroponica, automates all the tasks busy people might neglect: irrigation, lighting, and the dosing of nutrients.
Made of aluminum and molded PE, it’s modular, allowing the gardener to add on to grow more.
While there are a number of tools out there for automating the gardening process, this one’s got cultivated curves. Just add the salad dressing.

Is this in production or is it a concept at this time?
