Minimalist Plant Stand and Support System Grows With Your Plants
December 5, 2018 by Robin Plaskoff Horton
Say hello to Liana, a minimalist plant stand and support system that grows along with your plants.
Brain child of Swiss design company Superlife, the Liana plant stand allows users to add sections that support plants as they mature.
Unlike the traditional stake which is placed inside the container, Liana doesn’t interrupt the plant’s root system as it is positioned instead on the outside of the pot.
When small, the potted plant stands alone unsupported on the stand. As the plant begins to grow and become more top-heavy, users simply place a rod into the original plant stand to support the growing plant. The rod curves around the container to leave the plant and its roots undisturbed.
A small and large version of Liana comes in eight colors: black, charcoal, light grey, grey-blue, peach, yellow, taupe, and sage green. She’s currently available for pre-order until December 9 on Kickstarter.
Update: Unfortunately, Liana did not make her Kickstarter goal, but we are hoping her designers will find another way to bring this project to market.
