With a sod covered tabletop and a children’s seed project, Urban Gardens exhibited last month on the Green Block at the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Green Business Committee’s Third Avenue Street Fair. The block consisted of vendors who provide green products and services as well as non-profits and government organizations who promote environmental programs and education.

The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce hopes to include the block in all their annual street fairs in the future. “Our MCC Green Business Committee continues to grow and the street fairs give us a great platform to be able to promote them to the community,” says Laura Bucko, Director of Communications for MCC and manager of the MCC Green Business Committee. “Green is an important growth area for our local and national economy and we hope New Yorkers will come out to learn about these business and services.”
