Slip Something Over on Your Balcony

This clever container system by az&mut is named  the Pot Cavalier or Cavalier Pot, not because it’s arrogant, offhand, or unceremonious, but because it’s mounted over your balcony railing much like soldiers mounted their horses and is derived from the same word, caballarius, or horseman.

Now that we have gotten through the etymology, we can go directly onto the balcony. You just slip these pots directly over the railing and they hold themselves firmly in place without any additional accessories. Then toss in some clay pellets and soil, add a plant to each side of the container’s “legs”  and voilà, you’re done.

It’s own small water reservoir renders it pretty low-maintenance.  And as it’s constructed from 70% flax fibers and 30% resin, it is not only eco-conscious, it’s lightweight, yet strong and frost resistant.
