When Your Plants Agree With You
January 14, 2010 by Robin Plaskoff Horton
I’ve always heard that plants respond when you speak to them. Ok, it’s not real, but here’s your opportunity to share your thoughts, worries, and happiness with someone (or something) that will always agree with you. Pekoppa from Segatoys, Japan, is a voice sensitive plant that nods after each sentence. It doesn’t survive on light or water but on words and emotions. It was co-developed by Tomio Watanabe from Okayama University, whose psychological theory inspired its design. It’s intended to aid people at expressing their feelings, migrating stress and soothing worries. Designed just like your everyday potted plant in 3 different pot colors.
