Italian design studio OMC has a portfolio of cool bench designs that I can easily imagine gracing an urban landscape, either public or residential. The designers offer production and materials suggestions and quotes may be obtained directly from OMC Design Studios.
The Twirling Bench (above) offers a unique “twist” to seating, sort of like a the Victorian courting benches of yesteryear–though more than one couple could court on this bench. Alternatively, if looking for a bit of privacy in public, you could just ignore the person next to you.
At around 5.5 feet, the Fyyonk Bench is probably best for parks and open urban spaces. The bench can be produced in metal, plastic, or wood and seats 3-4 comfortably.
Hey, what’s wrong with a bit of humor in our lives? Technically a chaise, the Relaxing Cart is ready to roll…If you had a few of these on your patio, I know you’d have at least a conversation piece, if not a bit of fun. Could be dangerous, take precautions.
You might be game for this Safari-inspired zebra patterned bench that can turn a boring backyard into a wild space. The Bir Us Bench (not sure why it’s named that) is cast from metal but can be molded from plastic as well.
As if sprouting from the sea, the 3-seater Urchin Bench sits on a series of six scrolls, perhaps an homage to the Dead Sea Scrolls?

Interesting! I can see them in a number of different settings, in sharp contrast to the softness of nature!
