Thank you to all our readers, subscribers, and friends who voted for us in the Webby People’s Voice Awards. Urban Gardens was launched just a year ago. In our short blogging life, we have received two awards (Platinum Creativity Award  and Garden Writers Association Silver Award) and were nominated for the prestigious Webby along with such media giants as Epicurious.com, Mother Nature Network, and Yahoo! Shine.

We congratulate the winner in our Lifestyle category, All About Birds, the website of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and our four fellow nominees.  But, like the Academy Awards, just being nominated for a Webby, hailed by the New York Times as the “Internet’s highest honor,” is fine enough for us. In Webby tradition, the winner will have to make a five word speech. This would be ours: Unlimited Thinking for Limited Spaces.
