Moss Your City Explores the Urban Forest

As part of the Architectural Foundation’s exchange program for emerging architects, Norwegian architectural firm Pushak created Moss Your City, an indoor moss landscape exhibition that explores the relationship between contemporary architecture, landscape, and natural resources.

The exhibition, for the London Festival of Architecture and inspired by London’s Bankside Urban Forest Project, is on view until August 6.

Intended to demonstrate how low-maintenance natural materials such as moss can be harmonious with contemporary design, the designers also hope to create awareness of green issues, and encourage individuals to be foresters in their own city.

Nice idea – I am wondering where they got all that moss from? A sustainable source I hope – otherwise a forest and bio diversity somewhere else is going to be suffering from the effects of the moss being removed
