Wheelbarrow Chair: For Green Thumbs or Green Bums
November 15, 2010 by Robin Plaskoff Horton
Do double duty in the garden: Put this wheelbarrow to work with the heavy lifting, use as a garden seat, or both. As New Zealand designer Matt Moriarty notes, “Why redesign or reinvent when something that already exists does the job?” His wheelbarrow chair, Baro, is made from phosphate-bathed and powder coated steel buckets, galvanized tube, water-resistant foam, a pressed steel bearing wheel with stainless steel fasteners.
It’s got a removable 100% eco wool cover, and the optional cushion is hand-tailored from the upholstery fabric scraps by garment designer Susie Lowndes.

Good idea but needs a lot more tweeking. Two back wheels could fold/lock? Right now, maybe could hold a blanket to have a picnic with cute model!

The angle/capacity of the bin seems a bit shallow, otherwise a clever and stylish concept.
