It’s spring: time to get outside and into your garden, onto your balcony, terrace, or patio. Tesco Direct offers a range of home and garden furniture, electrical appliances, & more at reasonable prices. They’ve got some cool things to sit on and shade with, and if you are a gardener, some wonderful and colorful garden accessories to get you into the gardening mood.

Sitting in Style

Holy wow! I love this circular wicker day bed for adding a focal point to your space. Granted, at 172 cm wide, you need a bit of space to stretch out on this one, but it does offer room to cuddle, if that appeals to you. As an added bonus, the Padstow day bed also features a storage unit ideal for stowing books, magazines and covers. The day bed’s wicker foundation offers a sturdy base and allows air to circulate around the seating keeping things cool. £599.

Urban Chic Metal

The aluminum two seater Benson set’s contemporary design, above, offers a great deal of urban style for the price. The folding Bistro table loves to stay outside thanks to its corrosion resistant and non-rust frame. The lightweight garden table is easily assembled, can be folded away, and the chairs stacked together for a great, space saving storage solution. Two seater, £99. Four seater, £150.

Got room for a modular seating arrangement that is equally at home indoors or out? Another woven style, the waterproof Bellagio Modena set, above, includes three Modena corner chairs, two middle chairs, and one lounge table or footstool. All pieces are crafted in a contemporary resin weave, and arrive fully-assembled complete with neutral pepper brown cushions so the furniture can blend easily into a variety of settings. £1250.

Short on Space? These graphic hardwood deck chairs are water resistant and fold for easy storage. One’s got an urban skyline print and the other colourful floral design. Set them up in your garden or fold them up and take them to the park. The chairs feature a multi-position folding so you can sit up and sip a drink, or lie back and have a snooze in the sun. £50.

Some Chromatic Spring Sowing

Enjoy your time in the garden with these wheelbarrows in rainbow colours that just scream spring. The lightweight yet sturdy Bull Barrow Picador plastic wheelbarrow is an ideal size featuring an extremely strong 85L polypropylene pan together with a robust 23mm galvanised steel frame. It’s as easy to assemble as it is to use so you can get right down to wheeling about. Available in orange, yellow, green, pink, blue, and purple,  £34.

What’s Cookin?

If you fancy an outdoor kitchen and don’t want to go through the trouble of constructing one, then the Landman Kitchen BBQ might be the answer to your outdoor culinary dreams. The steel as-powered Landman comes with 5 burners, complete with a propane regulator, a hood and wheels for easy maneuverability. The BBQ features a cooking area of 79x49cm and includes assembly so all you have to do it light it up and start cooking. £34.

Those with small spaces or who desire portability can go another route. The sleek Notebook BBQ is the perfect portable charcoal BBQ, as it folds flat and comes with its own storage bag. Open it up only when you need it, or take it on picnics and benefit from a generous 36x35cm cooking area. £20.

Encouraging Little Green Thumbs

Encourage your kids in the garden with the Gardena garden trolley, in bright, bold colours which they’ll love. This garden trolley comes with a watering can and two poles for the broom, rake, lawn rake, and spade. Get a little help with the gardening, raking leaves, watering flowers, and digging up soil in the great outdoors, while teaching kids responsibility and allowing them to take pride in their garden successes. £29.

The bbq and wheelbarrows are A+ but the summer sun on those aluminum chairs? Not sure about that.

There is a lot of outdoor metal furniture. I agree though that I would probably use those in a shaded area.

I really love the Notebook BBQ and the hardwood deck chairs. My six-year-old son has some kid-sized garden tools and he really does get into them. It’s surprisingly easy to get him to help me with garden chores!

Love the idea of getting children interested in gardening because I think we will see so much more of home gardening because of prices and pesticides.

I was here. This took me away from work and my ankle for a barren moment. Take good care of yourself. I’m a bit more selfish than you might think me to be.

Interesting folding BBQ. I have a BBQ island in my patio area, but sometimes I think I went overboard.
