Indoor and Outdoor Rattan Benches

Linger bench by Alvin Tjitrowirjo.
I love the Linger rattan bench by Indonesian designer Alvin Tjitrowirjo, however it’s crafted of rattan which really does not fare well if continuously exposed to the elements. But you can use natural rattan furniture in covered areas and also for your indoor garden room. For outdoors, consider one of the synthetic rattans, like Diallo Design’s colorful rockers, as they can be left outdoors all year round.
Mingle Outdoor Bench by Tjitrowirjo is intended to stimulate conversation and interaction.
Tjitrowirjo has other outdoor bench designs, like the Mingle, above, that he proposes manufacturing with synthetic rattans on aluminum frames.
The Mingle is designed to get folks, well, to mingle.
The same bench design could be manufactured in materials suitable for outdoors.
Light enough to move easily and weather resistant, with his Mingle bench the designer hopes to encourage conversation and interaction between three or more people in public places and also in residential spaces.
Still influenced by his native Indonesia’s traditional design, Tjitrowirjo created this sensually curved seating incorporating a table for one of his custom projects.
The inclusive metal table’s cut-out pattern is a simplified derivation of Kawong, a traditional indonesian pattern popularized through the art of Batik.

The glues hold me back. What is healthy to glue dishes together like these?
