Chic Multi-Tasking Garden Fountain by Patrick Nadeau
September 30, 2011 by Robin Plaskoff Horton
Spotted at Maison et Objet in Paris, this combo outdoor fountain/bucket/hose reel is equally at home on a terrace or balcony, in the garden or in a courtyard. French designer Patrick Nadeau’s new colorful line of thermo-lacquered steel fountains for the new outdoor products brand, Laorus, is a compact and brightly-hued option with a multitude of uses.
The chic multi-tasker satisfies a number of needs and desires: from washing hands, boots, and fruits, to taking an outdoor shower, watering the garden, and even splashing with the kids. The fountain’s flat, L-shaped stand has a spigot above a three-legged bucket cum basin which is equipped with its own additional spigot. There’s a hook on the back for storing a garden hose and one model curves into a top shelf to hold a flowerpot.
Nadeau has a knack for designing products that work well within and do not impose on the natural environment–designs that integrate functionality and aesthetics. Stay tuned for more from this designer.
