Chopstick Gardens

The To Be Nature wood chopsticks bring new meaning to Chinese leftovers. My mother would be very happy with these–not only because she loved Chinese food, but because she was always reminding us not to let things go to waste.
These chopsticks seem like any ordinary set of wooden chopsticks except the tips contain a starch cap concealing a seed.
After using them as utensils, stick the starch end down into the ground and watch as a garden begins to climb up the chopstick.
Perfect for small spaces. And, yes, they deliver.

This is a queer concept and I have many questions:
*Won’t the starch cap disintegrate if I left the chop stick in a bowl of hot noodle soup?
**Might the starch cap come off in my mouth?
***What is the seed in the starch cap that’s content to climb a stick that is just 25cm tall, in fact, a lot shorter by the time it is stuck into the earth.
I’d love to love the concept but can’t!

I use chop sticks to keep my chickens away from young plantings by inserting several of them in the ground. This is an interesting concept! Always love your shares <|;-)

Just don’t see or figure what plant/place/purpose for this. Must be a really short plant… just easier to just push a seed into soil.
My favorite ideas for chopsticks? In windowboxes so pigeons don’t land (do not but pointy side up) – also to mark where I want to plant tulips.

I think it would be good to sell the idea of the starch caps to a Chinese food restuarant and then the customers could save the used chopsticks and apply the starch cap….they could even provide their own seeds so they could pick what they want to plant
