Simple Vases to Highlight Flowers
March 7, 2012 by Robin Plaskoff Horton
Spotted at the Philly Flower Show: simple ceramic vases like the Dots vases, above, by Tod Newgren of Toronto company, Chive. Dots are flat round vases that hang on the wall. For the show, they grouped various colors in rows as shown above, but you could create a pattern of them on a wall or highlight one all by itself.
Newgren designs everything in each of the more than 35 collections of vases made from ceramic, porcelain, metal, glass, MDF, and even a travel vase made of plastic.
The Gideon Fuzzy could hold something other than plants…
The Koski has a rough texture that contrasts well with a delicate flower.
When the porcelain birds are filled with buds, the birds appear to be sitting in the flowers.
Bonus: If you spend more than $50, they will include a surprise gift.
