Balcony Agave

On a visit to Terrain last month with my friend and fellow writer, Laura Matthews of Punk Rock Gardens, we spotted this fabulous Balcony Agave plant. Talk about easy to care for–it requires no water, sun, or fertilizing at all, just an occasional wiping off of the spiny leaves.
Balcony Agave beautifully compliments other succulents.
Of the 200 currently recognized Agave species, this one consists of very hard metallic gray leaves with marginal teeth and an lethally sharp terminal spine. Perfect for any zone, Balcony Agave provides maintenance-free lush year-round foliage.
