Outdoor Kitchen Transforms Into Indoor Table

August 16, 2012 by

Small spaces call for multi-tasking furniture designs and here’s one that works both outdoors and indoors.  In the spring, set up the Field Kitchen outside, then when the weather gets chilly, just move this super simple outdoor kitchen inside and use it as an indoor table!

Designed Roos Loeckx for his Belgian garden furniture studio, Cassecroute, the Field Kitchen can be outfitted with a top mounted tap and/or a ceramic sink. There are no heavy built-in components to weigh things down–cooking is done on a hot plate, in a tajine, or top mounted BBQ.

Constructed of Iroko, a wood as durable as teak and used for shipbuilding, the kitchen is supported by a electrolytically galvanized steel base with polyester powder coating. The Field kitchen is made to order in white lacquered Iroko, untreated Iroko, or 95% recycled aluminum in five lengths from 180-420cm x 90cm high.
