Inventive Planted Stone Seating

October 22, 2012 by

I love Philippe Nigro’s stone Saturnia bench for Piba Marmi’s Monocromo exhibit at Italian design trade fair Abitare il Tempo.

Envision the center planter filled with Piet Oudolf-inspired blend of grasses alongside swathes of Nepeta, and a dash of purple top Verbena. Yum.

In a larger space, I can imagine several of the benches creating a bucolic conversation seating area. What do you think?

I’m really impressed with your writing skills
as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself?
Anyway keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare to see a nice blog like
    this one nowadays.
