Let’s Talk Turkey About Gratitude

This Thanksgiving morning I’m pondering all the things in my life for which I am grateful.
I am blessed with two great children and many dear friends. I’m grateful for my loyal readers and followers who have supported me and brought me countless exciting opportunities and experiences throughout the years.
My life is rich from all the amazing people I’ve met–writers, designers, artists, makers, and people from all walks of life from all over the world. I’ve traveled to Spain, France, England, Russia, and throughout the United States to meet and co-create projects with many creative people.
Who says social media is impersonal? I once stayed in the Paris apartment of a friend I know through this blog, and to this day, we’ve still not met in person.

So let’s talk turkey here. I have experienced firsthand how opening the borders, not only of our lands but of our hearts and minds, can enrich our lives in ways we could not possibly predict.

On this Thanksgiving, let’s sample a little food for thought. Why not give serious consideration to welcoming opposing ideas and new perspectives on issues of grave importance like climate change, gender, and racial equality? And let’s value truth again, a concept that for some no longer matters. Let’s stop giving each other the bird and, instead, share the bounty.
